I cannot believe it is authentic. The LORD would never allow Yeshua',s DNA which is HIS DNA to be left on this earth. We are told not to create an image.
I believe that we see the hand of God in the world, as we look about us. The miracle that is perfection in creation. The miracle that is in you and in me. Made in the image of God Himself. Our blood is His DNA, He says so Himself. It is why, deep down inside, they are trying to pollute the image of God within our bodies. If this shroud can make just one person, maybe a science minded sort, accept that there just could be God? Mankind is human after all. We have come SO far from the spiritual realm that people are much more willing to see with their eyes. Look at the talismans or devils horns people have used for ages...to make them think they might have just some modicum of power to ward off any evil, instead of having the trust and faith that comes with the Hope of Jesus Christ. I do believe that the Lord meets us individually and we are able to see and know that empty hole inside of all of us can only be filled by Him, because it is God shaped. Jesus bled for us and He suffered for us to have eternal life. He suffered as a man would, as we would if we were inflicted with all those horrendous wounds of the body. He was also tempted, as we are all too often. Tempted to believe things that aren't real, or tempted to believe that only WE know what is true and what is not. Only God sees the whole picture, and these days I am not discounting any sign or wonder because it is a crazy world out there and we need Him. Thanks for this Anne...I appreciate it!
It is my contention that people will focus on the creation rather than the creator when physical items are available. A natural failing, given the nature of mankind. This shroud offers nothing to increase our faith but can become a distraction. Interesting nonetheless!
Susan, you said it more concisely than I could. I’ve always thought the shroud was a distraction because some seem to worship it as an idol. I have wondered if the shroud has made some unbelievers consider the work of Christ crucified, possibly bringing them to faith. But I keep coming back to what you said, that the shroud “offers nothing to increase our faith….” Faith comes through the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Yes, we do! The evil is causing people to think about God. I've heard non-believers say there's a level of evil they don't understand. We have the explanation and the solution.

I appreciate your comment!
I think we all have a responsibility to point people to Christ in these days!
On a side note, I wrote about the shroud recently if anyone is interested in more history: https://christiandevotionals.substack.com/p/october-13-the-shroud-of-turin-is-tested
