Contrary to what many people might think, being a Christian doesn’t equate to being stupid. I can see why some would think that, however, when evangelical leaders believe we can secure religious freedom in corrupt Ukraine by sending them an additional $61 billion dollars that we can’t afford to give away to any country. Does anyone seriously think the United States Congress has any interest in religious freedom? What have they, the Biden administration, and the Department of (In)Justice done to indicate they are sympathetic to Christian values? Promoting abortion up to the moment of birth? Jailing those who pray at abortion clinics? Declaring Easter Sunday to be a day of trans visibility? (As if trans people aren’t front and center every single day?) Forcing schools to allow men who pretend to be women to enter women’s private spaces? (See new Title IX rules just implemented.) Perhaps after we secure religious freedom for those in Ukraine, we can work on it here, or, if not, we can move to Ukraine where democracy is very strong. Perhaps if our leaders will actually allow us to have honest and fair presidential elections again, it will influence Zelensky to do the same in his country. Perhaps if the Biden administration stops harassing Christians, Zelensky will stop persecuting Orthodox Christians whom he claims are supporting Russian interests.

Perhaps I shouldn’t write while angry, but I’ve done it. I am angry and also sad that there aren’t enough Republicans with the integrity to stand against the Democrats’ schemes. (Because most Republicans support those schemes???) Speaker Mike Johnson has been a huge disappointment. Apart from God showing undeserved mercy to the United States, I have absolutely no hope of us recovering from what has been done to us. Prepare for hard times. Most importantly, repent and submit to God. He is sovereign and those who trust in Him will ultimately be okay, no matter what they do to us.
Amen, you stated it perfectly! I can’t help but put some blame on the Evangelical church for sitting back and not speaking out on issues. Pastors claim they’re not going to get “political “, but I believe these issues are Biblical. If the church won’t stand strong, then?🤷🏼♀️
That’s a perfect example, ppl don’t seem to understand if a Christian then their world view is ALWAYS through the lens of Scripture. I’m also a little surprised at the girl and her response😳. Our former church’s(we have since moved out of state) youth group had kids identifying as homosexuals with noting being said. This has traditionally been a solid church, but Ike so many is bowing to the culture. The church is not much different than the culture, what happened to being that shining light? Sad.
